Huw\u2019s career as a conductor started in 2001. Since then his work has grown into a vast experience of styles and ensembles. His formative years started in 1992 as he was awarded a place in the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. Study at Birmingham Conservatoire followed and upon completing a BMus (Hons) Huw took a job playing Trumpet with a professional orchestra in Portugal, along with regular guest work in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2004 he won the Denis and Maud Wright conducting award. This led to lessons with Elgar Howarth. In 2005 Huw also received the J R Memorial Cup for his conducting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huw has worked extensively with orchestras and made his conducting debut with the Sinfonia Tamesa in London in 2006. Subsequently, he also performed with the Sunderland Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n
